Daddy Sang Baritone...

My Daddy (may he rest in peace) was a good man.  He took care of us 6  kids after my Mom died at age 33...he worked various jobs to keep us fed and clothed...
The one thing he did for me personally, is that he introduced me to music.
I remember when I was around 8 years old...he would stick his head in our bedroom door and go "pep pep pep pep pep pep pep...boom boom boom boom boom..Get a Job..." in his "bass voice".
I apostrophized "bass" cause he always thought he was a bass, but he was actually a baritone.
That song was a snippet from the Silhouette's "Get A Job" and that and his favorite singer, Fats Domino have became two of my faves as well.
Now that I have all this music around me be it Cd's or video, it would be nice if he was here to share it with me...
  but maybe he is,
As I was going to bed last night, I turned on the radio which is tuned to a country station and guess what song came on..."Daddy Sang Bass", by Johnny Cash,
I think Daddy was trying to tell me something.
